New Orleans Middle School Advocates, Inc. is a private charter school located in the City of New Orleans. This school had multiple buildings all of which were extensively damaged by flood and wind as a result of Hurricane Katrina. The Director of this school retained Tutwiler & Associates to assist in their claims for wind and flood damage. Both the windstorm and flood perils were covered by separate insurance companies with different adjusters representing the insurer’s interests. As a result of the efforts of Tutwiler & Associates, a seven figure settlement for both wind and flood losses were settled allowing the charter school to rebuild and resume their educational operations.
