Community Service

Tutwiler & Associates has always prided itself on being a good community citizen and aims to give back to the community when the opportunity presents itself. We are pleased to highlight the community service activities of our outstanding staff and applaud their ongoing efforts to make our community better.

 

The Katie Froeschle Foundation provides hope to many in our area by awarding scholarships to deserving students at Florida State University, funding innovative programs that distinguish Florida State as an exceptional institution, and providing grants to organizations that offer support and counseling to families coping with the traumatic loss of a loved one. 

The organization also supports the safety training of insurance claims adjusters, in memory of the Foundations's name sake who was murdered adjusting a claim in 2004. That support has turned into a book; Safety In The Field for Public Adjusters published by the American Association of Public Insurance Adjusters. Dick Tutwiler was an early supporter of this public adjuster safety effort and contributed to the book. You can read about those contributions here. 

Rick Tutwiler was recently featured as the Big Brothers Big Sisters of Pinellas “Match Moment” for the fine mentoring he has done over 3 years with Little Brother Hyadi. Rick has been a strong role model and guiding hand in passing along the importance of education, hard work and good character, resulting in Hyadi achieving good grades and participating in extracurricular activities. Michael Platts recently partnered with GVB Enterprises to donate 324 copies of the United States Constitution, Bill of Rights and Declaration of Independence to the 8th grade class at Pierce Middle School to enhance their learning about the Revolutionary War and the founding of our great nation.

 

 

Public Adjuster Frank Fortson presents a check to The Salvation Army in Mississippi on behalf of Tutwiler & Associates to help with the Hurricane Katrina relief efforts. 

 

 

 

 

Frank Fortson of Tutwiler & Associates presents a check to Mississippi representatives of The American Red Cross to help with the massive Hurricane Katrina efforts. The public adjusters from Tutwiler went on to assist many homeowners and businesses with their insurance claims.

 

 

Tutwiler & Associates is proud to sponsor The Florida Communities of Excellence Awards. It is the only independent recognition program for community associations throughout Florida and represents the pinnacle of achievement for community associations in our state. It has recognized dozens of outstanding communities throughout Florida since its founding in 2008 and we applaud this year’s honorees.
