Beach Cottage Condominium, in Indian Rocks Beach, Fl is a high end condominium complex composed of two residential buildings, a parking garage, pool deck with swimming pool, and spa. While planning for routine maintenance and repair scheduling a professional engineer discovered hidden decay in various parts of the buildings. The association retained public adjuster Mike Platts of Tutwiler & Associates who worked with the engineering firm to compile a detailed estimate of the loss and damage detain for a hidden collapse claim.
Thanks to the thoroughness of the claim file, the buildings were completely repaired and the collapse claim was settled in a mediation for a seven figure dollar amount with the Condominium Association’s insurance company in a mediation conference.
